From Father Paul

One of the many things I appreciate about the people of Good Samaritan is the value so many of you place on travel and the experiences it brings. Travel has certainly enriched my own life and broadened my perspective on the world. I also believe we learn a great deal from one another’s journeys. The stories many of you have shared — both recent adventures and treasured memories from long ago — have been a joy to hear.

As some of you know, the Klitzke family will be traveling to China this summer. We are excited for the opportunity and the adventure, especially the chance to experience it together as a family. We hope to share parts of our journey along the way — if we have not yet connected with you on Facebook or Instagram, feel free to send a request.

While we are away, Good Samaritan will remain in very good hands. We are deeply grateful for the clergy who continue to make Good Sam their church home. The Rev. Martha Anderson and The Rev. Tom Garrison will each serve on a Sunday as celebrant and preacher. In addition, The Rev. Cindy Campos will be available particularly for pastoral care needs. Since deacons are non-stipendiary (unpaid), she does not keep regular office hours, though she dedicates time each week to ministry at Good Sam. She can be reached through the church office or directly at

For a deeper understanding of clergy and the various roles they fulfill, check out the video I made this week: https://youtu.be/GjnhCESoVHs

And, at the risk of burying the lede, I am also delighted to share that we have hired a new administrative assistant, Victoria Kaplan. Victoria will begin prior to our travels, receiving training from Cheryl Ford to help ensure a smooth transition.

As we prepare for these events and during our time away, I am grateful for your prayers and support.

Blessings,
Paul
