Repairers of the Breach: A Holy Week Service of Lament and Witness

Holy Week is quickly approaching. This Sunday marks the Fifth Sunday in Lent, and the following Sunday is Palm Sunday. For me, Lent has once again been a powerful and meaningful season. I am grateful for your faithful participation—week by week on Sundays, on Wednesday evenings, and for many of you online as well. I hope this season has been a source of grace for you, and that we may continue together in this shared commitment through Holy Week.

In addition to our regular Holy Week services, Good Sam will host an ecumenical service on Holy Monday (March 30) titled “Repairers of the Breach: A Holy Week Service of Lament and Witness.” I hope you will plan to join us for this meaningful gathering. You can click here to register. Below is the description provided by the Diocese:

“How do we hold grief and hope together in this moment? Bishop Susan invites you to join our diocese in a service of prayer, lament, and public witness at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church (4321 Eastgate Mall). Encouraged by Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe, this gathering will begin at 6:30pm on March 30 with an indoor liturgy and continue with a public procession and closing rite in the community. Prayers and music will be offered in English and Spanish.”

Blessings,
Paul
