Are you feeling stress and uncertainty in these challenging times? Do you wonder how to respond to God’s call to help our vulnerable neighbors battling food and housing insecurity, lack of healthcare, and mass incarceration and deportation?
Please join us in Roetter Hall on Sunday, October 12, at 11:15 am for an opportunity to speak and listen as a family of faith. We will gather in small groups to share what we’re feeling and hear one another’s stories, with the help of members of our JustAction ministry. This is an important step to clarify where we feel God’s call, so that we can choose ways to take action together as followers of Christ.
Our discussions will be part of thousands going on across California under the guidance of PICO California, an interfaith community-organizing network. The mission of PICO California is to catalyze faith-based and spiritually-centered people power in our state to create systemic change for the most vulnerable, so that all Californians thrive. Good Samaritan is an active member of the local affiliate, San Diego Organizing Project (SDOP).
