God is the Cure for Spiritual Loneliness

According to the Surgeon General, we are suffering from an epidemic of loneliness that is harmful to our physical as well as mental health. It's also harmful to one's spiritual health, and we name "ending loneliness" as one of our strategic goals. We state the positive version of that: we wish to create connection and community between God and one another. In order words, God is the cure for spiritual loneliness, and the church is the hospital.

People gather at church to hear important Bible stories that remind, cajole, and comfort us, and to pray and sing together. They also gather to socialize with others who have a similar approach to life. While most of us would not name loneliness as the the reason we go to church, we do talk about wanting to spend time with like-minded people--people who want to live better lives focused on God and what God asks of us.

We offer a place to gather, mission-focused activities that forge bonds between us, opportunities to learn and play together, and more. We would love to help you connect with God and with the Good Sam community in a way that works for you!
